A home inspection is a thorough visual non-invasive examination of the physical components and systems of a structure for the purpose of providing an objective, independent, and professional opinion about the condition of the structure.
WHAT DOES A HOME INSPECTION INCLUDE
A home inspection is typically between 2 1/2 and 3 1/2 hours long. Clients are recommended to attend by the end of the inspection. Although the inspector may work independently during the inspection, a personal and thorough walk through is provided at the conclusion of the inspection to review the evaluation and answer any client questions. The inspector evaluates and reports on the visually accessible conditions of the components of the structure. Only those items that are visible and accessible by normal means are included in the report. Items evaluated and addressed in the report include: Landscape, Drainage, Hardscape, Decking, Roofing, Gutters, Exterior, Interior, Doors, Fixtures, Appliances, Electrical, Heating/AC, Plumbing, Water Heater, Insulation, Attic, Crawl, Foundation.
